DETAILS ITINERARY:
Day 1 Thursday : Arrival Siem Reap Upon arrival at Siem Reap air port we will be pick up and transfer to our hotel. In the afternoon we visit the Roluos Group. The monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89), are among the earliest large, permanent temples built by the Khmers and mark the beginning of Khmer classical art. Preah Ko erected by Indravarman I in the late 9th century dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880. Bakong the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance. Lolei built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor. Day 2 Friday : Angkor Wat In the morning, We will visit one of the most famous temples on on Earth: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks - the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond. We have lunch at hotel.
In the after noon we will visit the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), then we visit the Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Day 3 Saturday: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh Today we will transfer to the archaeological site for the sunrise from the Phnom Bakheng, one of two hills dominating the plain of Angkor, from where we will have a spectacular view of the Western Baray and Angkor Wat Or sunrise at the temple of Srah Srang. After that we will return to the hotel for breakfast. We then visit Banteay Srei temple (the Woman temple which is famous for beautiful bars relief's), regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. We will continue to Ta Prohm, the Jungle temple which cover by the giant trees, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. The Ta Prohm temple has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. We will have lunch at hotel. In the afternoon, We will transfer to airport for the flight to Phnom Penh. Up on arrival transfer we will be met by our guide and transfer to our hotel. Day 4 Sunday: Phnom Penh - Chau Doc After breakfast at hotel we will start our visit the Cambodia capital, Phnom Penh which is a very interesting experience indeed. It is a city with an interesting pulse and it gives you a very true taste of Asia. We will visit the Wats Phnom, National museum, the silver Pagoda and the enclosure of the Royal Palace. In the afternoon we will take the boat to Chau Doc, the boat ride leaves at 13pm and arrives Chau Doc at 5pm. We will have dinner and overnight at Victoria Chau Doc hotel. Day 5 Monday: Long Xuyen - Can Tho - Mang Thit - Tra On After breakfast we will head out to Long Xuyen and embark on Le Cochin chine cruises for a cruise along the river while enjoying the scenic water way. We will have chance to visit the unique farms where fish are bred in wooden cages suspended under floating houses on the river. Explore the Long Xuyen market one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. A small boat will take you through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards. Le Cochin chine set sails again toward Can Tho. We will have lunch on board. Leisurely cruise down the Mekong while enjoying the beautiful scenery . A pleasant walk on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities, especially some orchards (orange grove) with its farmer and sample various tropical fruits in LACH village. Day 6 TUE: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh city Rising early to the sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, we breakfast and start our trip with a boat cruise on sparking streams along the endless waterway of Mighty Mekong River to Cai Be floating markets. There will be hundreds of boats loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish jostling for trade. Sellers advertisers their wares by crying out across the waters. We visit the lush orchards and are treated to a delicious tropical fruits. Continue on to Ho Chi Minh city in the afternoon. The trip includes. Today Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
