FULL ITINERARY
With this 2-day Phu My shore trip from the cruise port, discover Ho Chi Minh City's ancient and new sides while learning about its turbulent past. As you pass by frantic traffic and slick buildings, observe the energy and vibrancy of the city today.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Tour from Phu My Port (L)
Your Ho Chi Minh City beach trip starts with a pickup by Viet Vision Travel's guide and driver at Phu My Port in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. We'll then transfer you to your private vehicle for a 2-hour drive into the city's center. Visit the Reunification Palace first, which served as the previous presidential residence for the administration of Southern Vietnam. Keep going to the War Remnant Museum to see the innumerable items, images, and pictures that document the Vietnam War. At noon, you'll be given a traditional Vietnamese lunch before visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral and Saigon Old Post Office, both of which are examples of French colonial architecture. Get a flavor of the native way of life by visiting Chinatown before disembarking at the vibrant Ben Thanh market.
Explore a sizable collection of traditional handicrafts, clothing, ao dai trinkets, and several food stalls serving delectable regional fare. Spend your remaining free time at the Rooftop Bar, where you may sip refreshing cocktails while taking in panoramic views of the city. Your tour guide will take you to a hotel where you can check in and spend the night.
Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels Tour - Phu My Port (B)
Viet Vision Travel's tour guide and vehicle will pick you up from your hotel at 8 am and take you to the well-known Cu Chi tunnels, commonly referred to as the "Iron Triangle" or "Iron Land" during the war. Before reaching the tunnels, travel through the rural area filled with rice paddies and rubber plantations.
After seeing a brief introduction video outlining their construction, you can explore the network of tunnels, some of which have been enlarged to accommodate visitors. Various mantraps, the wreckage of an American tank, and multiple bomb craters created by 500 lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers are also on show.
