Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon arrival, you will be welcome at the airport and transfer to our hotel. Later you will be given a briefing about traveling in Vietnam before enjoying a special welcome dinner at an excellent Vietnamese restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi - Ba Be Lake (B, L)
After breakfast, depart from Hanoi arriving in Ba Be town at noon, after checking in at the guesthouse, enjoy a welcome lunch of local specialty. The rest of the day is your leisure to explore Ba Be Lake. Overnight in a local homestay.
Day 3: Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
Today, take our private boat for a cruise on the lake then take a short trek to a Pac Ngoi village - Tay Minority People. After lunch, continue to visit Dau Dang waterfall, Puong Cave and more cruising along the Nang River. Overnight in a local homestay.
Day 4: Ba Be Lake - Cao Bang (B)
In the morning, drive 90km to Cao Bang province where is the home where the H'mong, Dzao, Tho and Nung ethnic minority people live in harmony. After hotel check-in and lunch, explore Pac Po Cave - the living or president Ho Chi Minh when he returned to Vietnam in 1941 after 30 oversea years. In the late afternoon, get back to Cao Bang city center and taste special steamed rice rolls. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 5: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Ban Gioc waterfall. It takes a 3-hour drive from Cao Bang to Ban Gioc waterfall, which forms a natural border between Vietnam and China. Next, travel to Nguom Ngao cave and get impressed by its magnificence created by Mother Nature. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 6: Cao Bang - Lang Son (B, L)
In the morning, drive 150 km to Lang Son on the Chinese border. stop for taking photos on That Khe Pass. After lunch, visit Nhi Thanh Cave, Tam Thanh Pagoda and the market at Dong Kinh, the biggest market in the area fully stocked with Chinese goods. Overnight at hotel in Lang Son.
Day 7: Lang Son - Halong Bay (B, L, D)
In the morning we depart Lang Son for the 180 km drive to Halong Bay. Overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B, L)
In the morning, leave the hotel for the Wharf, where you will take a private boat to visit the secluded bay for 5 hours, having wonderful seafood lunch on the boat. Head back to Hanoi for overnight.
Day 9: Halong Bay - Hanoi Departure (B)
After breakfast, feel free until the vehicle transfers you to the airport for your flight home. The Northeast Vietnam tour ends. See you again in the next Vietnam tour packages.
