Mo Trach Village (Hai Duong Province) produced 36 doctoral laureates at civil-service examinations from the 13th-18th centuries. 13 doctoral stelae at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi commemorate their names.
In 1304, the brothers Vu Nghiem Tu and Vu Han Bi both received the doctoral degree. One villager, Le Dinh, received the title of first-rank doctoral laureate in 1505.
