Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Evening food tasting tour (D)
Today we arrive in Hanoi city and join with expert tour guide to explore the local food of Hanoi within 4 hours. We walk along the streets, stop at chosen food restaurants and workshops, taste all safe hygienic local food and relax with delicious dinner at our happy ending restaurant in the Old quarter. Later, we will join with local people, enjoy special egg coffee and see Hanoi by night. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City tour – Cooking class with the best Chef of Hanoi's cuisine (B, L)
This morning, we join with one of the most famous chef in Hanoi, Madam Anh Tuyet or Ex Chef of Sofitel Metrople hotel Hanoi to tour around the local market for purchasing ingredients for our coming cooking class. Then we follow them step by step, prepare all ingredients and cook, decorate dishes and enjoy all the food we cooked before. In the afternoon, we visit the main highlights of Hanoi such as the Temple of Literature, the Ethnology museum and see one hour traditional music performance of water puppet. We also spend our little time at the Westlake area to see sunset and a cup of coffee in a floating restaurant on the lake. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Quang Ba wholesale colorful fresh flower market - Hanoi – Halong Bay (overnight on junk) (B, L, D)
This is a wonderful tour if we can wake up at 4am this morning. We meet our tour guide at around 4h30Am and transfer to Quang Ba wholesale colorful fresh flower market in the Westlake area. The outskirt farmers will gather all their products in the evening and they sell for Hanoi flower workshops and pedlars who will deliver to Hanoi citizen in day time. There are many photo opportunities in the market and you will understand more about real Vietnam.
Later we go back to hotel for our breakfast or we can taste a breakfast as local at a Pho restaurant with a bowl of Beef or Chicken noodle. Our Halong Bay tour will start at 8h00 with a 3,5 hour driving along Red River Delta with rice fields two sides of the road. We arrive at the pier at midday and welcome on board by crew team who serve delicious lunch after that. Halong Bay is one of the World Natural Heritage sites of Vietnam and it has been recognized by UNESCCO several times by its special values. The cruise takes us deeper into the Heritage region and we will join with other passengers many activities such as swimming, kayaking, relaxing, cooking demonstration, happy hour or free pick up additional services like massage, spa, nails….Tonight, we enjoy our outstanding dinner and overnight on cruise.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi / Dinner at a local Hanoi family (B, L, D)
This morning, we may wake up little bit early for our sunrise time on sundeck with Tai Chi session. It's really fresh moment in the middle of the tranquil Bay. Later, we enjoy breakfast and visit the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay, Sung Sot cave. This is the largest cave with limestone stalactite and stalagmite system shaped in thousand years. They are decorated by colorful lights and make the cave more amazing. We are back to the junk, check out and have last lunch before leaving to Hanoi in the afternoon. Instead of having dinner at a restaurant, tonight, we will discovery how Vietnamese family dinner is that cooked by mother and house wife. We will enjoy the family atmosphere and taste the daily local dishes. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Dong Ngac Culture village - Departure (B)
This morning, we check out after breakfast then travel to a culture village of Hanoi, Dong Ngac where is only 15km far from the center of Hanoi on the way to the airport. In the village tour, we will go to the village market, try to purchase something with tour guide then walk to the host's family that is inside the village. Over the village gate, we will see the different world without noisy, busy and big vehicles. They are old garden houses, brick built lanes and friendly people. The house of family's host is hundreds of years old with garden and generations. Having some tea and short chat with them, we continue our visit other local houses, communal house and local school… then back to the host's family for our lunch. Relax for a while before we transfer direct to the airport for our departure flight. Trip ends.
