FULL ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Trishaw tour & Water Puppet Show – Walking Tour around Hanoi with Street Foods (D)

Welcome up on arrival by local tour guide and driver then we transfer to hotel. Relax for the rest of the morning.

Around 5 pm, we enjoy 1-hour cyclo tour of the French-inspired “Old Quarter”. We will be free to shop in the old Quarter ranges from markets through to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries. We will then sit down to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets. Then, we transfer back to hotel and start a walking tour around the old quarter of Hanoi along different streets, try to taste many kinds of local food such as beef/chicken noodle soup, oil-fried pastry, tofu, rice pancake, pillow cake, sweet soup, stuff pancake with pork, draught beer… and one of our best surprised is a stop at Dong Xuan whole sales market where we know many kinds of ingredients being sold.

Last but not least is our happy ending at a hidden coffee in the Old Quarters enjoy its famous ‘egg coffee’ in a pleasant surrounding overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake. Fortunately, as it’s Friday so there’s night market and walking street around Hoan Kiem Lake. It would be a great chance to immerse in the local life of the local at weekend here. After the tour, we return back to hotel in old quarter Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Cooking Class ½ Day GROUP TOUR & City Tour (B, L)

This morning, we join with one of the most famous chef in Hanoi, Madam Anh Tuyet or Ex Chef of Sofitel Metrople hotel Hanoi to tour around the local market for purchasing ingredients for our coming cooking class. Then we follow them step by step, prepare all ingredients and cook, decorate dishes and enjoy all the food we cooked before. In the afternoon, we visit the main highlights of Hanoi such as the Temple of Literature, the Ethnology museum and see one hour traditional music performance of water puppet. We also spend our little time at the Westlake area to see sunset and a cup of coffee in a floating restaurant on the lake.

Day 3: Hanoi – Trang An – Hoa Lu – Hang Mua GROUP TOUR (B, L)

Pick up at your hotel, we will drive Southward of Hanoi to Ninh Binh province. We will take a pleasant boat rowing in Hoang Long River to visit Trang An Eco-Tourism complex. The complex is surrounded by picturesque landscapes with thousands of hectares with more than 100 caves which can be explored by boat. It is also a home of 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna that many of them in the Red book of Vietnam. It is also a gathering of 31 valleys, 48 cross-water caves and we will visit 3 to 6 of them. On the rowing boat, we can enjoy the fresh air, clean and clear water with under water grass. Experience ourselves the feeling and emotion when we are on the water caves… After the tour, we will eat lunch in the local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital dated back from 10th and 11th centuries. The area is one of rice fields broken by picturesque limestone mountains. It features se Departuveral dozen monuments, including King Dinh and King Le Temple & Tombs… Then, we will spend time to visit Hang Mua – Dancing Cave is where you can get the impressive panoramic view of Tam Coc and NinhBinh city when you reach the top point of Ngoa Long mountain (about 500 stone steps). In the late afternoon, we will be driven back to Hanoi

Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Considered one of Vietnam’s World Natural Heritage Sites, Halong Bay is a place that not be missed when visiting Vietnam. Within 4-hour boating around the thousands of islands and islets, discover the entire heritage site by kayak, contact to the locals in fishing villages and walking into the caves.

Morning
08:00 – 8:30 Leave Ha Noi city for Ha Long International Cruise Port in Bai Chay town, Ha Long city.  Refresh up at the lounge.

Afternoon
12:00 – 12:30 Embark Oriental Sails. Enjoy welcome drink and get a brief introduction about cruise and  safety guidelines. Check-in your cabin.
13:15 Have lunch while cruising in the magnificent Ha Long Bay, admiring the fascinating nature,  then anchor at Titop Island area.
15:00 – 16:00 Join a guided visit to Sung Sot Cave (also called Amazing Cave), one of the biggest and the  most beautiful cave in Ha Long Bay.
16:00 – 17:00 Climb to the peak of Titop Island for the panorama view of the bay. Going down and relaxing  on the beach, swimming in the crystal water.
17:20 Return Oriental Sails, enjoying the sunset while relaxing with Happy hour from now to  dinner time at the bar.

Evening
18:00 Enjoy happy hours with various drinks on discounts. Take part in a cooking demonstration  and food décor with our Chef

Day 5: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Luang Prabang (B, Br)

Morning
06.30 Welcome a new day with amazing dawn on the Legendary Gulf of Tonkin. Refresh your body  & soul by a Tai-chi lesson on sundeck.
07:00 – 08:00 Catch morning view of seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast while charming  the labyrinth of Karst.
8:00 – 9:00 Join a guided to explore hidden parts of the bay, Luon cave. You share a sampan with other  tourists with a local rower or taking a kayak on your own.
09:00 Return to Oriental Sails for shower.
09:30 Check out your room. Oriental Sails weighs the anchor to continue to roam the picturesque  route toward Bai Chay bridge for photos.
10:50 Have lunch.
11:30 – 11:45 Disembark. Cruise ends.

Afternoon
12:00 – 16:30 Transfer back to Hanoi and we then transfer to Noi Bai for the flight to Luang Prabang. Welcome to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and then escort you to your  hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 6: Luang Prabang – Flower Offering Class – Pak Ou Caves (B, L)

After breakfast, we transfer to Heritage House and attend a hands-on experience in traditional religious floral decoration uses banana leaves and local flower from the lush jungles that surround in this art form, and will help you create a religious offering, or Van-Cornet. After that, we will bring our floral set to visit local temple, attend blessing ceremony by the Monk, that is believed to bring you the health, happiness and longevity.

In the afternoon, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we disembark the boat to visit traditional villages, and continue taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 7: Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls – Hill Tribes (B, L)

You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron robed monks – an awe-inspiring sight. Please tell your guide a day in advance if you wish to make an offering  so he/she can prepare some food for you to hand over to the monks. This early morning ritual dates back  generations in Laos. Watch the town come to life in the morning then return to the hotel for breakfast or join  the locals for a bowl of delicious noodle soup after the alms giving ritual. (If you do not wish to make an offering,  please keep an appropriate distance and observe the ritual in silence. Dress appropriately – shoulders, chest  and legs should be covered).  

We then visit the Morning Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea  and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. In the morning, we visit the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which  represents classical Laotian architecture. We then visit the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center (close  on Mondays) where you are able to observe valuable artifacts and traditional clothing and implements from  each of the 20 ethnic minority groups which inhabit the Luang Prabang area. Next, we will visit Wat Visoun,  the holiest temple of the city, which was entirely rebuilt in 2087 after being destroyed by the invading Black  Flags from Southern China. In the courtyard of Wat Visoun stands the Watermelon Stupa shaped like the  fruit from which it takes its name. Continue past Wat Aham, which was first built in the 1500s.

Then, transfer by private vehicle to Khouang Si waterfall. On the way, you can visit to the Lao ethnic  minority groups – Ban Na Oune Village. Once at the waterfalls, take a leisurely hike through the national  park towards the Khouang Si waterfalls and pass by the Asian bear rescue center. You will enjoy feeling the  mist of the cool, turquoise waters of the different waterfalls. Swimming in the refreshing waters is possible.

Day 8: Luang Prabang – City Tour – Train to Vang Vieng (B, L)

Morning we will head out to see the city’s oldest temples, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roof sweeping low to the ground representing classical Lao architecture, the impressive stupa of WatVisoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. From here we visit the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts from the Royal period in Luang Prabang.

In the afternoon we arrive in Vang Vieng by train, a small and tranquil town, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism. On arrival we check into your hotel and then embark on our boat for a relaxing trip on the Nam Song River, exploring the breathtaking mountain landscape.

Day 9: Vang Vieng – Tham Jang Cave – Blue Lagoon – Train to Vientiane (B, L)

After breakfast, we explore Vang Vieng, a small town, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet river waters and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism. Enroute, visit Tha Hue Fish market on the way. Upon arrival, we cross the bridge to visit Tham Jang Cave (Dried Caves) and Blue Lagoon. Free at your leisure to attend zipline, kayaking… on your own budget. In the afternoon we arrive in Vientiane by train.

Day 10: Vientiane – City Tour – Buddha Park (B, L)

This morning, we visit Wat Sisaket, the city’s oldest temple. Dates back to 1818, Wat Sisaket is the most important heritage temple now standing in Laos. It houses thousands of Buddha images from many countries, long lost architectural styles, sculptures and paintings; Wat Prakeo, former royal temple of the Lao monarchy and originally built in 1565, is home to the Emerald Buddha image, Buddhist sculptures are displayed along the perimeter wall, including a 6th to 9th century Dvaravati-style stone Buddha and several standing and sitting Buddhas. On the way back to hotel, stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. Afternoon, we transfer to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa. Then we transfer out of town to visit Buddha Park with thousands of Buddha Statues. Evening is free to visit Night Market.

Day 11: Vientiane – Fly to Phnom Penh (B)

After breakfast at hotel, then we will be transferred to the airport for our flight to Phnom Penh.

Day 12: Phnom Penh City Tour (B)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel then be picked up by our guide and driver. We will venture out to explore the wonderful city of Phnom Penh. Our first stop this morning will be the Choeung Ek Memorial, where a stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls marks the site of the infamous Killing Fields. This was the execution ground for the torture victims of TuolSleng and standing in this peaceful setting it’s almost unthinkable to imagine that to date nearly 9000 corpses have been exhumed from the area. Confront Cambodia’s tragic past on a guided tour of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison), a former school which served as a Khmer Rouge torture center. It’s estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured through interrogations, torture and deprivation in Toul Sleng Prison during Pol Pot regime (1975–1979).

In the afternoon, we proceed with a visit to the National Museum, one of Phnom Penh’s true architectural gems. Housed in a beautiful traditional building, the Museum is instantly recognizable with its warm red terracotta and its gracefully cured roof topped by dozens of guardian nagas. It was designed in Khmer style in 1917 by famed French architect Georges Groslier and Ecole Des Arts Cambodgiens. Visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. Our last stop will be Wat Phnom, a peaceful temple situated on a hill for which the city is named. According to legend, a 14th-century woman named Penh found sacred Buddhist objects in the nearby river and placed them here on the small hill.

Day 13: Phnom Penh – Battambang (B)

After breakfast, head to Battambang to experience the daily life of local people and learn how to make some of the traditional products firsthand. A boat trip along the poetic river will take us to Battambang province. Once arrived, spend the whole afternoon socializing with locals and witnessing their brilliant craftsmanship. After that, travel to the bamboo train to enjoy some fresh air and cool breeze of Cambodian countryside before having dinner at Smoking Pot Restaurant, a well-known local restaurant.

Day 14: Battambang – City Tour – Bamboo Train (B)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Phnom Banon, which has five sandstone towers perched on a hill and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding plains. Visit Grape Farm and Grape Wine Factory on the way back, and you can also taste the flavorful grape wine here. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Drive through the city in the evening to witness the colonial-style houses along the Sangke River. Continue to visit where the local rice wine is made and get a taste as you go. Before sunset, try taking a ride on the Bamboo Train - it's a fantastic way to chill and get a great view of the setting sun in the countryside.

Day 15: Battambang – Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake (B)

This morning, after your breakfast at hotel, we will transfer to Siem Reap. In the afternoon, embark on an interesting boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake (Kampong Phluk area), where you will have the opportunity to learn about life on the lake. Tonle Sap is South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake with its size varying greatly depending on the season, as it is swelling to about four times its size during the wet season. Board a local boat and visit Kampong Phluck, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when Tonle Sap Lake extends. On the way, pass through floating houses and untouched flooded forests, portraying life on the water.

Day 16: Siem Reap – Angkor Temple (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel will 9 am, we then spend time visiting the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12  century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the  Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

In the afternoon, we visit Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively  untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery, and the most famous of all the temples  on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to  the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the  12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and  architecture. Enjoy a wonderful sunset from the top of Phnom Ba Kheng Hill. After the tour, we returned  back to the hotel and spent the rest of the day relaxing.

Day 17: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Phnom Kulen (B)

This morning, we will visit to Banteay Srey, known as Citadel of Women or a Pink Temple, and Banteay Samre Temples. In the afternoon, we will spend time to visit to the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang (“The Royal Baths” was once used or ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake) and Preah Khan temple, Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation.

Day 18: Siem Reap – Fly to Danang – Hoi An (B)

This morning, we will have a flight to Danang City. We will transfer you to airport for flight to Danang. On arrival in Danang, our guide and car will wait in Danang International airport to transfer you to Hoi An Ancient Town for accommodation.

Day 19: Hoi An – ½ Day Walking Tour with My Son Sanctuary (B, L)

Hoi An Ancient town has been recognized as the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO since 1999 thanks to its value. This place is complex of the acculturation. The architecture of the town reflects the influence of Chinese, Japanese, Potuguese, French and British traders. It used to be a trading port in 17th & 18th centuries where the trading cruise ships from Japan, China & the west met and exchanged goods. Hoi An nowaday is one the most attractive places in Vietnam and with a half day walking around, visitors will immediately feel the hospitality and friendship the locals extend to them. And they can see that what is so special about Hoi An is that this little port town is in an incredible state of preservation…Welcome to Hoi An!

 Met up by local tour guide in the morning then we will start our walking tour around the ancient town to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky’s old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An, and the temples, and pagodas of Chinese appearance. Then we be free to having lunch and return back to hotel for check-out.

13:30 – 14:00: Our tour guide pick you up at your hotel and depart to My Son Sanctuary – The World Cultural Heritage.
15:00: Arrive at My Son and we’ll have 2 hours to discover the site by walking throughout the landscape, learning histories with our local English-speaking guide, and enjoying the Champa’s traditional performances.
15:15: Get back to mini van for transfer to the Cau Lau’s wharf for taking a boat trip to Hoi An with nice and cool breeze on boarding, beautiful sunset river scenery on the biggest river in the Central of Vietnam named as Thu Bon River. Get your camera ready for the amazing moment of local people activities along the river.

Day 20: Hoi An – Free Time (B)

Today, we will spend all day enjoying one of the most livable cities in Vietnam. You can spend time lying on the beach and enjoy some delicious seafood in some local restaurants here.

Day 21: Hoi An – Hue – City Tour (B, L)

The World Culture Heritage of Hue ancient capital is about 145 km far from Hoi An ancient town. It takes us around 3-hour driving via Hai Van Pass; therefore we will leave Hoi An little bit early this morning after having breakfast.

After Hue arrival, have a short boat trip along Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda where we can get Hue city’s panorama. The pagoda is located in the bank of the river and we will climb up steps to the pagoda. It’s not a pagoda but there are many stories about Vietnam War history. After that, we continue on driving to Tu Duc tomb, one of the most beautiful and charming tombs of the Kings under Nguyen Dynasty. Enjoy lunch at a garden restaurant then relax with a cup of tea before our afternoon tour to the Forbidden city and Dong Ba market. Later, travel back to hotel.

Day 22: Hue – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (B)

This morning we transfer to Phu Bai airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, welcome up on arrival by local tour guide and driver then we transfer to hotel. After check-in, we visit all the highlights in Ho Chi Minh City such as the Reunification Palace, a palace of old President in South of Vietnam during the American war; Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, the two sites that we can’t ignore when we visit the city. We then head to the center to do shopping at famous Ben Thanh market, this bustling and well-organized market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dai. Our free evening activities should be: walking around at the night market in Ben Thanh market area; explore the highest building in Ho Chi Minh City, Bitexco….

Day 23: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels GROUP TOUR (B, L)

Ho Chi Minh city, formerly named Ho Chi Minh City is a largest city of Vietnam. One day tour around today covers almost the major attractions. Understanding more about history in the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace, admire French-colonial architecture at the General Post Office, Opera House and Notre Dame Cathedral, and explore the longest tunnels made of Vietnamese people during the war…. Depends the weather and season, we can visit Cu Chi tunnel in the morning or afternoon.

Morning, we head to the Cu Chi tunnels, otherwise known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. After that we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city for lunch.

After lunch, we visit the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam. After that, we will visit War Remnant Museum, where we can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war. We also stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office to get good shots for our memory of the big, modern city of Vietnam. In the rest of the day, we will visit: Ben Thanh market, and then we will be back to hotel

Day 24: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long GROUP TOUR (B, L)

We pick you up at the hotel after breakfast and transfer you to Cai Be. The program will start with a visit to Tan Phong Island for biking/walking on village paths to see the local daily life: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses… On the way, we can have some stops to see how they wave the dried water hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, and shoes…

Then, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy a peaceful time. Next, we back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, the Mekong River, to come to An Bình Island. While we travel on a handmade canal to homestay, we can walk around this orchard & enjoy some cups of tea while listening to the traditional music in the ancient house.

After that, we walk into the local village to visit the local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop-rice and enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea. It’ll give you an unforgettable experience. One more thing to do on this trip is visiting the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. The cruise transfers us back to Vinh Long city where we take our own vehicle to Can Tho and spend our night here.

Day 25: Ho Chi Minh City – Shared Limousine to Mui Ne (B)

After breakfast, we will take a 4-hour drive to Mui Ne beach, one of the best beaches in Vietnam with huge rolling dunes, good ranges of hotels and resorts on the beach, plenty of restaurants along the beach roads that served Vietnamese and International foods. On arrival at Mui Ne beach, we will check in at our hotel and have the rest of the day free at leisure.

The day will be free for lazing in Mui Ne. You can visit the White Sand Dune. From the top of the huge dune, we can see all of the scenery of Mui Ne. Moreover, in the middle of the white sand dunes, there is Lotus Lake – lotus is one of the most famous flowers in Vietnam.

Day 28: Mui Ne – Shared Limousine to Ho Chi Minh City – Departure (B)
