Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Walking Street Foods Tour (D)
Welcome upon arrival by local tour guide and driver, then transfer to hotel. Later afternoon, start your walkie-foodie night with Hanoi Walking Street Foods Tour. Take inside Hanoi Old Quarter and discover some of the lesser-known dishes of locals. From Pho Bo (Vietnamese Beef Noodles), Banh Cuon (Steamed rice rolls), “Banh Mi” (Vietnamese Baguette), etc. Finish the tour with unique Ca Phe Trung (Egg Coffee), which will perfectly round off our Hanoi Street food discovery. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Duong Lam Village – Half Day Tour in Hanoi (B, L)
Picked up this morning from the hotel then drive about 50km from Hanoi to visit Duong Lam ancient village in Son Tay province. Duong Lam, a purely agricultural rural village of the Northern Red River Delta. On arrival, take a walk on the village path to visit Mong Phu temple which is dedicated to national heroes, King Ngo Quyen and King Phung Hung temples.Enjoy special Vietnamese lunch prepared by the host. While you are in the house you can also join the local people in producing local specialties such as soft green-lentil cake and rice cake filled with brown onion and enjoy these dishes (depending on the season of the year). Transferring back to Hanoi for half-day city tour. In the afternoon, visit outside Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, the One Pillar Pagoda, and then the Temple of Literature. Later, see the sunset time in Westlake and Tran Quoc Pagoda area. Back to the hotel and have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Incense Village in Thon Cao and silkworm farms in Hong Ly, Thai Binh (B, L)
Your visit this morning focuses on Cao village in Hung Yen. Burning incense is a beauty in the folklore tradition of Eastern people in general and Vietnamese people in particular. The practice of burning incense was practiced very early on and was an indispensable role in traditional festivals and ancestor worship practices. Therefore, there are numerous communities producing incense on the S-shaped strip of land. Cao Village's incense village is one of the well-known incense-making villages with fragrant rings that hold a distinctive herbal aroma bearing the brand name of the craft village. Incense is displayed in broad areas across the lanes of Cao village, filling them with lovely red and yellow hues and distinct fragrances.
After lunch, travel to silkworm farms in Thai Binh. This village is well known for its well-known silkworm raising, silk nursery for a while, and specific preservation as well as for maintaining the essence of traditions that date back to ancient times. You may take in the tranquil countryside with Northern Delta characteristics when you visit the Hong Ly silkworm farms. In that peaceful space, you will be able to visit and learn about the process of creating golden silk bundles that fill the yard and hear fascinating tales about the craft village. Visit Hong Ly Silk Nursery to give a chance to tasty specialties called ripe silkworms. Back to Hanoi and overnight.
Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay with Ambassador Cruise (6-star cruise) – Overnight in cruise (B, L, D)
After breakfast today, we travel to northeast Quang Ninh province to enjoy our time in the tranquil Halong Bay. Arriving at Tuan Chau pier at midday, welcomed by the crew team then check in a tender which transfers us to Ambassador Cruise. Checking in the room before we enjoy the first delicious seafood lunch. Ambassador Cruise takes us deeper into the Bay passing thousands of islands and islets with various shapes of Fighting Cocks, and Dogs islets…. Ambassador Cruise also passes and stops at the floating village that is free from busy traffic, electric lights, houses, shops, and buildings…Our activities this afternoon are kayaking, cooking demonstrations, relaxing or swimming at the beach, or climbing up to the top of the island to catch the panorama of the Bay…. Enjoying dinner and relaxing in the evening on the boat.
Day 5: Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Sunrise moment is the best time ever in Halong Bay that should not be missed. Getting up a little early this morning we enjoy the morning view with a cup of tea or coffee and then have breakfast. After that, continue cruising around this amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site and exploring some more of the intricate cave systems (Sung Sot cave) that make Halong truly unique.In the afternoon, capture the image of local people in Cua Van floating fishing village, and some activities added to suit your interests. The journey continues by boat excursion or kayak to discover the famous attractions of Halong Bay as Tien Ong cave and Ho Dong Tien Cave then stop at Ti Top Island for another fascinating view of Halong Bay. Overnight on board.
Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)
Wake up a bit early in the morning to have Tai Chi exercise with my master and see the beautiful sunrise from the sun deck. Then enjoy the luxury services on the cruise or swim in the clear water of the bay. Lunch will be served when cruising back to the port where our awaiting vehicle will transfer us back to Hanoi.
Day 7: Hanoi Departure (B)
Today feel free at leisure until our vehicle will transfer us back to the airport for our flight home. Trip ends. See you again in the next Vietnam tour packages.
