Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long market & An Binh Homestay (L, D)
This morning, we travel to Mekong Delta, visit one of the most famous floating markets and stay with a local people in An Binh home-stay. We first visit Vinh Long market where many local products such as fishes, shrimps, prawns, crabs, rice-field rats, tropical seasonal fruits and vegetable selling. Then we take a boat trip along Tien River and stop at an interesting handicraft village of brick kilns. The local farmers are producing beautiful potteries from clay and we also know how they fire the potteries with traditional way. We also stop at a farmer’s family and enjoy seasonal fruits and home-made rice wine.
After lunch at a local restaurant on the island, we take a rowing boat to deeper canals where we can see the traditional houses’ styles or we can chat with them and join some simple activities with them if we want. Later afternoon, we arrive in the home-stay, enjoy some cold drink and check-in. Time to relax with fresh atmosphere, quiet and peaceful village and play with kids of the family; or we take a short biking around the village, get beautiful sunset… Before dinner, we also can join with a local to cook some favorite dishes or just relax in the hammocks in the garden. Day 2: Cai Be town– Ho Chi Minh city (B)
After breakfast, we are farewell with the host then visit to Cai Be town. Our tour guide also tells us many stories of them and show us many different things between the life in the old floating villages and in the land. Then we have a short tour around some local workshop and turn back to Ho Chi Minh city after that. On the way back, we stop at Mekong Restop for our lunch. The trip ends in the lobby of the hotel.
